showing up for the practice

As the rain pounds my windows and yesterday the sun warmed my skin, I'm reminded how different my body can feel from one stretch appeal class to the next. Each time I practice it's a new experience, a closer mind/body connection and for sure, a great way to check in with myself to see where she might be on that particular day. I love this physical journey and where my mind might take me, depending on whether it's a frustrating or exhilarating practice, both valuable teachers.
One of my favorite parts about teaching at a regular time and place every week is to see who shows up. To share my practice with you and share your practice with you. Anyone who makes this sort of commitment to themselves considers it as important as choosing healthy, vibrant foods to eat. It's an essential aspect of living in your best form and celebrating every single day you are blessed to be alive. And even on those days when you don't feel like moving or driving to class or making the effort, you do anyway because you know deep down that it's mostly about showing up and the rest always follows.
